Strengthening Families Program

Having fun together, learning new skills, and raising joy levels!

Strengthening Families Program is great fun!  Families who have been in Strengthening Families love it!  Strengthening Families takes place two times per year.  One is from August to December and the second one is from February to May.  It’s 14 weeks long on Monday nights.  (It seems like a big commitment, but it’s so much fun…time flies!)  Each week starts out with a delicious meal. We cater food from area restaurants, and sometimes volunteers come in and cook for us!  Once we finish with dinner we split up into learning groups of parents, younger children, and teens.  Then we all come back together for Family Time.

We offer free childcare and can help with transportation if needed.  We look forward to having your family join us!  Contact us through this website or call the Strengthening Families Program Coordinator Mandy Bailey:  mandy@kosciuskocares.org.

We look forward to serving you!

The Strengthening Families Program is a nationally and internationally recognized parenting and family strengthening program. It is an evidence-based family skills training program found to significantly improve parenting skills and family relationships, reduce problem behaviors, delinquency and alcohol and drug abuse in children and to improve social competencies and school performance. Child maltreatment also decreases as parents strengthen bonds with their children and learn more effective parenting skills.
